My Garden, My Websites, My Son, Mylanta

Whew! What an Extremely busy last week! (month, year?) Ever since I stopped “working” , it seems all I do is work…

The title of this post is a little crazy, very similar to how my life has been lately. I have been trying to force myself outside every day this week, since the weather has been pretty nice (up to 75 degrees) AND it is supposed to rain this week.

But, I was completely consumed with creating a few new websites, to try and generate a little more income.. two are purely informational, one is a side-line business my husband & I had already..but haven’t really done much with lately…  As we all fall into the “Woes” of our latest economy setbacks, I have been trying to work the extra mile to make up for it… Selling on Ebay has become somewhat of a hardship.. and Craigslist is just a joke (not the site, but the people who inquire) So, I have been working my pretty little head off, trying to come up with new ideas~ and I know once it gets going, everything usually falls into place.. but in the meantime… sigh..

My garden is patiently waiting, my kids (teenagers) are running around living without me, and one is totally taking advantage of that… he is 18 and should know better.. all the long “lecture talks” are emotionally draining. So I did the only thing I knew from experience in the matter.. I took his car keys.. (bad mommy) but..well, hoping he will learn as I did when my mom took mine away (it really sucks- especially with impending date night)

The Mylanta?? well, I really need to get some.. in the meantime you can see what I have been working on here:

My Work:   Sky’s Computers

My Fun:  Cafe World Café

My Passion:  Scrapbook Freebie Cafe

As for my garden, I did manage to get out in the sun for a few hours and pull a few weeds- I even planted a few seeds before I had to come in and sit… I am way too far out of shape!

Lovely

Just browsing around the internet today, I stumbled onto some lovely purse designs by Amy Butler.. here are two of my favorite picks: (click on the picture for the pattern and instructions!)

STASH & DASH BAGS
Dainty and practical. Pack lightly with this trio of compact bags and you’re ready to go!

KIMBERLY BAG
A classic, graceful shape sized to make this bag suitable for every event. A girls night out or an evening social! Simple lines and pleats allow for a long zipper, making this bag easy access!

aaahhh…the spring…

As I sit here…indoors… in my sweats on a Sunday afternoon.. on my 2nd pot of lovely coffee, I can see its a beautiful, sunny day outside.

Open the windows, let some fresh air in- and what do I see? My Crocus is a bloomin’! My Thyme has new leaves. I also spied other bulbs popping up (those will be a surprise, as I cannot remember what I planted there…)

So I had to run out in my PJ’s and snag a few pictures for you!

My Current Project…

What does the work-at-home mother of three, owner of The Mystic Kitchen do?
well, currently everything… (feels like anyway)

But actually I am in the process of redesigning my husband’s website- it has been on the back burner for a long time. So, watch for the link soon.. I am going to take over his site, and be like a “Ghost Writer” is for books~

What is the site? Although I am not ready to release the name yet, I will tell you that we will be designing websites, building blogs and offering hosting..  cheap!

So watch for it soon!

Speechless?

Funny,  I am normally full of things to talk about.. and yet when faced with the challenge of adding daily posts to my new blog, I find myself with nothing to say…

Anxiety? hmmmm… maybe it is the thought of being up close and personal, or the “live performance” jitters- I really can’t say~

So I will just jump in with both feet and talk about Facebook.. lol (I had to think of something)

I am quite addicted to facebook.. just give me my mini laptop, a cup o’ joe, and I can sit here for hours! I love social networking and being able to stay in touch with my friends and family (I am literally NOT a talk-on-the-phone type of person)
Nope, in this day and age, it is all digital.  I send e-mails for invitations to birthday parties, spout off important news- you name it! At first my parents and other members of the family balked at the idea.. but they have become accepting of learning certain things “over the internet rather than in person”  (ssshh! I believe they are now addicted too!)

It is very catching.. now if I could just see my doctor, do my grocery shopping and walk my dog through Facebook…sigh…

Welcome…

I am branching off from my website, with an all new blog, called “Nette’s Notes”

It will be anything from personal opinions and  ”mad rants”  to topics from The Mystic Kitchen..

enjoy!
